Leadership Position
When I began to research major line of business leaders, I did not realize there were so more. As I searched the internet I came across a site where a survey was taken to identify the top 25 nearly influential people in business. Out of the 25 that I had to choose from, I chose Oprah Winfrey. Oprah Winfrey was rated number 16 out of 25. I chose Oprah Winfrey because I hold watched her grow and prosper over the many years that the Oprah show has been on television and I have always heard about her generosity, Philanthropy and savvy business deals.
Oprah Winfrey was born on January 29, 1954 in Kosciusko, mississippi. Her mother was an unwed teenager, so for the earlier part of Oprahs life she was cared for by her cubic yard mother. Very early in life, her grand mother taught her how to teach and at the age of three Oprah was reciting poems and Bible verses in topical anesthetic churches.
