From a student point of view Goldstein believes professors should ban laptops from the classroom because it a distraction to the other student who are not victimisation one. Instead of listening to what the professor is saying they are reflection what’s going on the computer screen bordering to them; even the tapping noise from the keyboard can be distracting to other students. He states some students don’t actually use the laptop to take note but instead uses it to surf the web, denounce online and play games. He express when students use their laptops in class they are not completely focus on what the professor is saying since they are typing what the professor is lecturing.
Although, technology can be very useful Goldstein feels when they use a laptop to take extensive notes they are not truly intellection but doing stenography he believes professors instead what students to think just about what they are saying and write a few critically thinking notes.
While one the other hand, Elena Choy from a professors point of view disagrees with Goldstein statement she believes it’s no problem to have laptops in the classroom.
