Should Laptop Be Banned From The Classrooms?

It’s a dispute whether or non a professor should ban laptop computers from their figurerooms. I’ve read two distinct essays, with two different quests of view. Andrew Goldstein agrees that laptops should be banned from the classrooms; he feels it’s a distraction to the other students, who are non apply laptop. Elena Choy disagrees; in her opinion she believes it’s not a enigma to deplete laptops in the classroom. I support Choy argument that laptops should not be banned from classrooms because the students are adults who pay their tuition and should not be told what they offer and cannot use in a classroom.
From a student point of view Goldstein believes professors should ban laptops from the classroom because it a distraction to the other student who are not victimisation one. Instead of listening to what the professor is saying they are reflection what’s going on the computer screen bordering to them; even the tapping noise from the keyboard can be distracting to other students. He states some students don’t actually use the laptop to take note but instead uses it to surf the web, denounce online and play games. He express when students use their laptops in class they are not completely focus on what the professor is saying since they are typing what the professor is lecturing.



Although, technology can be very useful Goldstein feels when they use a laptop to take extensive notes they are not truly intellection but doing stenography he believes professors instead what students to think just about what they are saying and write a few critically thinking notes.
While one the other hand, Elena Choy from a professors point of view disagrees with Goldstein statement she believes it’s no problem to have laptops in the classroom. She supports her beliefs by stating in fact she’s rejoicing to see her students are taking notes.
