Participants:

The clinical sample leave be figureed from the University of Sydney Psychology Clinic, and the Brain and Mind Research Institute. number one year psychology students will be invited to participate to conformity a comparison group, and I also plan to recruit participants through the community via an advertisement.


Design


The experimental procedure that will be used will require participants to complete a ready reckonerised undertaking. Participants will be exposed to a very uncertain task or a task containing slight uncertainty.

In the computer task, participants are presented with 2 ravishers of balls and are told that one of the bags has 60 ruddy balls and 40 colour balls, and the other bag 60 green balls and 40 red balls.



A bag is selected and participants, and are asked to look at the smallest number of balls to take a reasonable guess to strike which bag they have selected: More red balls or much green balls. They are told that the balls will be gaunt from the bag randomly. These instructions are given for both conditions. Balls are drawn at a predetermined sequence, one sequence providing greater certainty which bag the balls are coming from, the other providing less certainty which bag the balls are coming from.
