Desensitizing Children
We turn on the newsworthiness, and the first story covered is a traumatic accident. The news is then followed by a television show that is for families, b arely it has vulgar language and sexual content. Thirty years agone the showing of force-out and language would non be windy because it desensitizes children. Today many children play violent tv games, come after television shows with a large amount of sexual references and content, and get a line to music with vulgar language. This type of media would not be delicious thirty years ago should it be acceptable immediately?
Video games concord gone from games like Tetris where you leave spotless rows out of different shaped blocks; to games like Halo and exclaim of Duty where you travel around a map to eat up people from another team. Children as young as quartet years old play this game when both games are rated M for mature. Mature is for children ages 17 and up, so why do parents let their children play these games? It entertains them so the parents do not have to constantly be watching them, plus the child enjoys contend the games.
Studies have shown that the younger children are that play violent pic games tend to reenact what they cope with on the screen with their friends.



Since children see this behavior being used on video games they play, they weigh it is acceptable. Children learn violent ways and that increases aggressive behavior. Technology has good from video game controllers to Wii controllers and Kinect, which is when the player has to perform the activity they necessity the character to do. Going through the motions of violent acts will make kids more likely to perform them.
Children that play video games with violence are less likely to have empathy, they do not care if someone gets hurt because they are used to sightedness it in the games.
