In emotional state people always want what they fuelt have, or realistically layabout non have. Most people withstand their lives always seeking the approval of others. Some imagine what theyre lives would be resembling if they were old, wiser, or never lost that family member. In my opinion, everyone has been guilty of something in their life. The stories Mothers and Eleven relate to the topics pointed out. In Mothers, the grown female sitting and staring at the happy mother and missy across the room with envy wishes and imagines what her life would be like if her mother was still alive. Would they set down along? Would she pick up the check, help her with her wedding plans, or be involved in her childrens lives? She quickly realizes that maybe her imagination would be delusive as she walks past the two women bickering. Being too new-fangled at nineteen to realize everything happens for a reason.
In eleven, the briny girl wishes to be anything but eleven. As if organism older and wiser would erase her problems and fears forever.



Wanting to be that brave young adult; not having to deal with her classmates that make fun of her and her shy personality. Imagining what life would be like if she werent eleven, or ten, or nine, or eight, or seven…She wants that horrific and humiliating day to go and never remember it ever again. Everyone wants to be something theyre not at one point in their life.
